The Debut Album

On March 1st 1974, Rush’s debut self-titled album was released.  Ever wondered about why the two different colors of the album covers?  The original album release in Canada had RUSH in red, which was the approved color.  When the album was released in the USA, there was a printing error at Mercury which had RUSH printed in hot pink. The band still remembers this well!

 

A Farewell To Kings 40th Anniversary Release

‘CYGNUS X-1’ Record Store Day Exclusive

IN CELEBRATION OF THE 40TH ANNIVERSARY OF ‘A FAREWELL TO KINGS’   RUSH WILL RELEASE A LIMITED EDITION SINGLE FOR ‘CYGNUS X-1’ AS A RECORD STORE DAY EXCLUSIVE This year marks the 40th anniversary of Rush’s sixth studio album, A Farewell To Kings. To kick-start the celebration, on April 22, 2017, UMe/Anthem/ole will release a limited edition, 12” single for Cygnus X-1 as an exclusive for Record Store Day, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. Featuring “Book I: The Voyage” and “Book II: Hemispheres,” this is the first time these tracks will be released as a single and the pressing will be limited to only 5000 copies. Rush | Time Stand Still

The documentary Rush | Time Stand Still is coming to theatres in US & Canada on November 3. The DVD/BluRay will be released November 18. November 20, 2015 – Nashville, TN – R40 Live, an extraordinary document of Rush’s career-spanning 40th anniversary tour, was released today. Rush recorded and filmed R40 Live over two sold-out shows at the Air Canada center in the band’s hometown of Toronto on June 17 and 19, 2015. The epic live shows by the Rock Hall of Famers were captured with 14 cameras, in order to give fans the best possible viewing experience.
